Date Title Summary
17th January 2013 Big Lottery Fund Announcement

ICOD has good reason to be grateful to the Big Lottery Fund as we have been awarded almost half-a-million pounds. Jim MacLeod, Chair Person said “This will allow the project to start up new services which will allow us to reach even more disabled people and their families in Inverclyde. The funds will also ensure that the delivery of vital and well used existing services continue.”

Project Manager Carol Kearns “Our project provides a variety of services that take a holistic approach to the needs of local disabled people and helps enable them to live independently, reducing their feeling of dependency on family, friends and carers as well as improving their community involvement. We would like to thank the Big Lottery Fund for their continuous support in our project.”

The award was also welcomed by Grace Smith, of Gourock, who has accessed our services for over nine years. “Without Inverclyde Council on Disability I would never have been able to visit all of these places – it has opened up a whole new world for me.”
