This Guide is organised by town, and all of the Accessible Eating Places are in alphabetical order.
Each entry contains the name, telephone number, address, times of opening, access, seating, toilets, parking, service and other useful information. Most of this information is self-explanatory, however guidance on the terms used is detailed below:
"Independent Access" indicates that the premises have level or ramped access and good circulation, and most wheelchair users should not require the assistance of a carer in getting around the establishment.
"Assisted Access" indicates that wheelchair users may require assistance to access some facilities, further information on this is detailed in each entry, where relevant.
"Moveable" indicates that all chairs, tables etc can be re-organised to allow access for wheelchair users.
"Adapted" indicates the minimum standard requirements for an accessible WC have been met.
"Adapted (good)" indicates that in addition, sink, hand driers, mirror etc are at wheelchair height;
"Adapted (small)" indicates a limited turning space.
Please note that all of the establishments included in the guide indicated they are happy to accept assistance dogs.
